Kıvanç Sert, I was born in Ankara Turkey (1992). Placing myself in between art and design I am inspired by the idea of play and everyday tools, investigating cultures, ideologies, object-users, and space relations throughout my practice. I use creative activities and productions as a tool to point out problems, ask questions, or create societies. Me, interested in building and being a part of communities by creating free spaces where we can share and learn from each other. I was the founder of Açık Alan Collective (Open Space), where we organized various nonprofit workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and events between 2014-2018. I was also the co-founder of Bankpank a mobile art radio collective, that uses broadcasting to create a physical space and connect a community. During 2018-2022 Bankpank experimented with the idea of creating spaces without fixed locations. Now, with DAI I am investigating Food and Culture focusing on rice and tea. I am working on a long-term collaborative “Intervention in the Moment” since 2016, a mobile design practice that produces objects instantaneously by collecting discarded objects from the streets.

I studied at Vienna Techniche University Architecture(2011-14) before taking Industrial Design at Istanbul Bilgi University (2014-18). Later he studied in Sabanci University Visual Art and Design master(non-thesis) program (2020-2022); during this period, Me worked as a teaching assistant. Now in DAİ art in research Ma ....
